What's New in Bath for 2025: Exciting Developments in our Historic City

While Bath's UNESCO World Heritage status ensures our Roman and Georgian treasures remain beautifully preserved, 2025 brings several exciting new developments to enhance your visit to our historic city.

The long-awaited Bath Quays development will be fully operational by spring 2025, creating a vibrant new riverside quarter. This area connects the city center with the River Avon through pedestrianised streets, featuring new restaurants, shops, and public spaces. The development includes Bath's first purpose-built co-working space, reflecting the city's growing reputation as a hub for creative and digital businesses.

The Fashion Museum Bath will reopen in its stunning new location at the Old Post Office building on Northgate Street. After relocating from the Assembly Rooms, this internationally significant collection will have expanded exhibition space and innovative new displays. The 2025 feature exhibition "Georgian Glamour to Modern Mode" traces Bath's influence on fashion through the centuries.

Culinary enthusiasts will be excited by the arrival of two Michelin-starred chefs opening restaurants in Bath during 2025. Both will showcase local Somerset produce in their distinctive styles. Reservations are already in high demand, but guests at Haringtons Hotel can ask our concierge team to assist with bookings.

Transportation around Bath becomes easier in 2025 with the introduction of the new Park & Ride electric shuttle service. These zero-emission vehicles will run more frequently than previous services, making it even easier to visit Bath sustainably. Additionally, the expanded Bath Bike Share scheme now includes electric bikes – perfect for exploring the city and its surroundings.

The Holburne Museum will unveil its newly landscaped gardens in April 2025, creating a beautiful new public space that connects Sydney Gardens with the museum. The landscape design references the historic Sydney Gardens while creating a contemporary space for outdoor exhibitions and events.

At Haringtons Hotel, we're evolving too!
